Built across cultures.
Rooted in Japan.

I moved back to Japan when my first son was born after years of building and scaling companies in the US. Now with two young boys, Lucky Sheep Company was founded as my way of showing them how to bridge different worlds.

It's a project built on the idea of connecting and building across cultures. Our mission is simple: to help businesses and people be successful here.

We've seen companies from seed stage to Fortune 500, and the mess that comes with international scaling. We take things from 0 to 1, develop playbooks that work in Japan, and restructure what isn't quite working.

Three mistakes that
sink Japan launches

Most organizations struggle in Japan because of expensive, avoidable mistakes. We've seen them all — and we help companies navigate past them before they cost real runway.

01
The Cash Burn
Relying on established agencies with high retainers and unmanageable CAC that move far too slowly for where you are.
02
The Hiring Trap
Overestimating market potential and hiring too quickly — only to find how slow and niche deal cycles can be in Japan.
03
The Copy-Paste Strategy
Assuming what worked elsewhere translates here. Japan requires a real playbook — not a translation of your last market.

In Japan, you often get one real chance to establish your brand. If that window is missed, it is very hard to come back.

Let's make sure you get it right

Speed.
Lean.
Real.

No bloated teams. No expensive strategy layers. Just execution that works.

01
Real Commitment
We begin by aligning vision and funding tolerance with the realities of building in Japan. No surprises, no illusions.
02
Build Lean
We start small and hyper-local, using performance-based strategies to move quickly and gather real market feedback.
03
Localized Strategy
We build a plan that connects with Japanese customers — not a translation, but a data-driven playbook.
04
Success-Based Scaling
We avoid heavy retainers and connect companies with the right partners that match the actual scale plan.
05
Sustainable Outlook
We build a 1-3-5 year model so companies can eventually hire and grow a trusted local team on a strong foundation.
